Matt Livermanne is your typical Texan, fun-loving and ambitious. He's a true-blue American... with one exception. He thinks bigger than even most Texans. Upon finding himself a victim of economy layoffs, he walked all over the Salt Lake valley looking for work. While at the state's unemployment office looking for leads, he found an old Guinness Book of World Records SEE BELOW. As he thumbed through the pages, one record caught his eye. The Road Walking Record from NY to LA, set in 1973 by John Lees, from England. Well, no respectable Texan would stand for a US transcontinental record like this NOT to be held by an American. So Matt walked out of the office... and he's been walking ever since.
Your donation will help us provide the food, gear, shoes, and other expenses associated with this monumental transcontinental effort.

A Country in Crisis
In 2005, a study published in The New England Journal of Medicine predicting that in the coming decades, the obesity epidemic and its health consequences would reverse the upward longevity curve in America over the last century, slashing life expectancy by two to five years — more than the impact of cancer or heart disease.
